Funny that, so did I

And me, could be just the thing for the many scratches on the Mrs CR-V. I went the ebay route, couldn't be bothered with the redsave thing.

After my helpful post, I suppose you want some feedback........

Well, I'm glad I didn't pay any more for it.

On stone chips it's useless, but it never claims to be anything else, so that doesn't matter.

The packaging describes it as a "clearcoat scratch remover", and it does disguise the scratch to some degree, and once I'd got the polish out of a couple of scratches on the Clio, it did return them to the car's colour.

I don't know whether I was expecting too much, but it's the equivalent of putting a bit of brown boot polish on a piece of furniture to hide a scratch.

It does also say that it needs direct sunlight to cure, so we'll try again tomorrow. But first impressions are at best mixed.

I left +ve feedback for the seller - it arrived within 24 hours of being paid for, and so I've no gripes aginst him!

Just tried it on the car, small scratches (very thin/light scratches) do come off but deeper ones don't have any effect. I'm spending a day on the car next week if it's sunny so I'll see how it is after a good claybar and polishing sesh! For 2 quid though I'm not complaining! I'll try it on the missis black KA tomorrow.

Well I finally got round to using mine yesterday. I had a few bad scratches on the rear door just behind the drivers door handle, which were quite fine, but through the dark blue top coat, revealing the white undercoat. Applied it yesterday lunchtime, leaving the afflicted side of the car in direct sunshine for the afternoon. Gave the area a quick polish over this afternoon and the scratches are now almost imperceptible, the white undercoat which was really noticeable before now has completely vanished. I'm very pleased with the results, well worth the money 8)

wow - that sounds like a winner then. might try teasing some paint into larger scratches and then using it to see if does bigger areas too.

well done John_D - official (ish) UKS R and D officer

Well all I can say is that appears to work well disguising scratches through a solid dark blue top coat. If you look for them you can still see that there was a scratch there, but you have to look, before, the fine white lines screamed at you from several feet away  I will probably try several applications to build up the thickness of the 'filler' though this shouldn't be necessary on a flat horizontal panel, my scratches were on a vertical panel and any excess runs (I wiped the excess off with a tissue) so it will probably be necessary to build up the level in several stages. All in all a very positive result 8)
